Kate McDonald is an Emmy and Gracie award-winning television and film producer who specializes in creating multi-platform media content and experiences. Kate’s work has been featured on PBS NewsHour, Entertainment Weekly, MAD Magazine, Noisey/VICE, USA Today and National Public Radio.
Kate recently produced a nationally distributed feature film, The Seeker, written by the band Cloud Cult and starring Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother) and Alex McKenna (What Women Want).
She is currently working as an arts producer for Twin Cities PBS as well as doing freelance producing and consulting work.
In addition to production, Kate develops strategies for digital engagement and partnerships between nonprofits and runs workshops for digital media integration in schools.
Clients have included St. Paul Public Schools, Explore Minnesota Tourism, Mall of America/Fly Over America and Minnesota Theater Alliance.
Her work has been featured at The MN History Center, Walker Art Center, St Paul Chamber Orchestra and in numerous national and international film festivals.
Kate lives and works in Minneapolis, MN.
